Celebrating Anniversaries

In 1999 we celebrated the 30th Anniversary of the landing on the Moon by astronauts Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin (July 20, 1969). Likewise, in September 1999 we celebrated the 30th anniversary of the first packet of data transmitted on the Internet (formerly "ARPANET").
At the time, the landing on the moon was spectacular, but the founding of the Internet went by unnoticed by most.
What achievements, inventions or events of today might be celebrated 30 years from now?
